Day Thirteen – Written by Pastor Jonathan Perez
Biblical Example: Jeremiah 1:4-19

Daily Prayer Focus: Faith Assembly & Other Churches in Our City

The Lord replied, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!” – Jeremiah 1:7-8 (NLT)

Leaving a weekly gathering, we may feel a nudge or tug to take the next step in our faith walks. That may mean volunteering for the first time, mentoring, teaching, or pursuing full-time ministry. What happens, through, is that very often our thoughts of self-ability, talents, age or experience drift us away from what God is calling us to. We let doubt cloud our minds and hearts, which, in turn, causes us to miss out on what God can do through us.

Jeremiah was called by God to be his representative to the people. In Verse 6, Jeremiah proclaims what he thinks is a weakness in his life that disqualifies him. God spends the rest of the chapter reassuring Jeremiah that He called him and that He would be with him. In the same way, God is calling us and reassures us that He will be with us, despite what we may think disqualifies us. What is God calling you to do?

As you pray for our church family and other churches around Orlando, remember that YOU are the church. The church is a gathering of people of different ages, different backgrounds, different experiences each with unique and important talents. Pray that we all realize that God wants to use us to be the church to help save not only the city of Orland, but also the World, despite our age or experience. Let’s be the Church!
