OK, I’m In – Day 15 – Daniel 6

Day Fifteen – Written by Pastor Jonathan Reyes

Biblical Example: Daniel (Daniel 6)

Prayer Focus:  Those in Poverty

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9

“He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders, in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.”  Daniel 6:27

When we take a look at our own lives in comparison to Daniel’s situation, we might, at first glance, think that there aren’t many things in common between our reasons to give up, and his. Truthfully though, it all comes down to one common factor: things were easy, but now they’re extremely difficult.

At this point in our time of corporate prayer and fasting, you might be beginning to feel a little bit of that setting in. At first, it wasn’t so hard…. but now, as time has gone on, you find yourself more tempted than ever to maybe slack off in the areas you know God wants you to excel in.

The result of Daniel not giving up when things got hard was that he got to see God’s glory and power come through for him in a brand new way, in that God saved him from the lion’s den. The same can easily be true for you in this time of prayer and fasting! If you intentionally don’t grow weary, especially when you have every reason to like Daniel did, you are going to see God’s power in a way you maybe never have before!

Press on, and let’s see God move in an awesome way in our lives!
