DAY 5 – Matthew 9:37-38

Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.’”

Matthew 9:37-38

“And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-12

When you pause to truly think about it, it’s kind of gut-wrenching to think about how vast the “harvest” is and how few the “workers” are. As an result of COVID19, it’s evident that the needs of our community (both physical and spiritual) have grown, but have our workers?

Challenge yourself to reflect on what ways you may be considered a “worker” in the harvest. Are your everyday actions leading to the salvation of others? Are you volunteering time or resources for the advancement of the Gospel? God has amazing things in store for Faith Assembly, and He’s given each of us different skills, abilities, and passions. Some of us are called to be apostles, and others teachers; each of our areas are uniquely different, so that together we can build up the body of Christ.
