Ok, I’m In – Day 17 – Genesis 7

Day Seventeen – Written by Pastor Joel Ashe
Biblical Example: Noah (Genesis 7)
Prayer Focus:  Worldwide Leaders & Officials

“The Lord then said to Noah, ‘Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, and also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.’ And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him.” – Genesis 7:1-5

Noah chose to stand for righteousness in the midst of a wicked generation. Even through the mocking and ridicule from those around him, Noah “did all that the Lord commanded him” and built the ark he was told to build. Noah’s obedience to say, “OK. I’m in,” led not only to his salvation from the flood but the salvation of his family as well.

Noah had to make a decision as a leader to follow what others around him were saying or to follow what the Lord had told him. In the same way, let us pray that the Worldwide Leaders and Officials of this generation would also listen and obey the Lord’s direction in the decisions they are making. These leaders are faced with choices that affect our lives and the lives around us on a daily basis, and if  anyone needs the wisdom and guidance that only comes from the Lord, it’s them!
