DAY 13 – Titus 2:7-8

Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech…

Titus 2:7-8

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3

Educators carry an important role in society. Not only are they responsible for teaching knowledge and skill in the classroom, but they spend more hours a day with our youth than anyone else in our student’s lives. Teachers come in contact with students from all ethnicities, economic backgrounds, and levels of stability in the home; and a good teacher who’s committed to investing in their students can change the trajectory of a student’s future.

This verse in Titus talks about what it means to be a “model of good works.” Our students need to know what integrity, dignity, and sound speech look like.

Now, more than ever, our educators need our prayers and support! With split classrooms happening both virtually and in-person, teachers are working extra hours to recreate lesson plans, make themselves available to troubleshoot, and adapt to the ever-changing protocols. Let us pray that in the midst of these high demands, they commit their work to the Lord. Let us pray for God to establish the plans of the decision-makers and those in authority in the school system.
