DAY 18 – John 16:33

“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33

“No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.” 2 Timothy 2:4

How comforting is it to know that God has overcome the world? As we pray for our military today, those standing in defense of our freedom, let us ask for God’s peace to guide them! These brave heroes sacrifice so much to protect our nation. Many are distant from their loved ones and risking their lives daily. 2 Timothy says, “No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life.”

This is the same thing for the spiritual battles that we face. God has enlisted us, which means our goal is to please Him. Like the well-known song lyrics that state, “This is how I fight my battles,” our battles are best fault through prayer.
